MENDHAR, June 16: A 55-year old man was died under mysterious circumstances and his dead body was today recovered in a shed at the farm, away from his house at village Nad in Gursai area of Mendhar.
The deceased has been identified as Moulvi Mohd Rafiq Bhatti, resident of Nad village. The family members told police that Mr Bhatti had gone to his farms for agriculture purpose last evening. It started heavy rain and thunder storm in the evening. He got stuck there and did not return home at night. There is shed in the fields and he took shelter there. As he did not return, the family believed that he might have stayed with his relatives there due to rain.
Today morning his body was found lying in the shed in their fields. The family informed police about the matter. Gursai police party reached the spot and it shifted it to the hospital at Mendhar for postmortem. Then it was handed over to the family for last rites. The police said that it was still a mystery. A case under section 174 CrPC has been registered in this connection.
