POONCH, Mar 24: Apprehending insecurity and threat to their lives in the locality, the residents of Gohlad and Railan village near LoC today expressed serious concern over hanging of electricity wires with the trees in villages and said that concerned Power Development Department (PDD) is least concerned over security concerns of people of this area in Mendhar Sub Division of Poonch district.
Accusing the PDD Mendhar Sub Division of putting the lives of residents in danger by not aligning the electricity transmission lines on the electric poles, the people of Railan and Gohlad  and Panch Sajad Hussain and Bashir Ahmed said that the wires have been let to hang upon trees which can make people prone to electrocution during rainy days.
Villages have demanded the replacement of wooden or cement poles for electricity wires. They said that absence of concrete electric poles and standard wire poses risk to their lives and property. The wooden poles are being used to supply electricity and the wires hanging with these wooden poles are posing a risk to their lives. They demanded replacement of these wooden poles with concrete poles.
