MENDHAR, Aug 9: Protesting against non-availability of teacher, parents and students of Government Primary School, Mohalla Mangrala Ari, Zone Harni, today locked the school.
Despite the strength of 40 students, there are only two teachers posted in the school and whereabouts of one of them are not knows to anyone as he never visited the school since his posting there. The other teacher also remains absent various times with the result that no class work is taken in the school.
It happened again today when students returned home soon after visiting the school where the only teacher was also absent. Upset over non-serious attitude of the school teachers and the Education authorities, a number of villagers and parents of the students marched towards the school and locked the building.
According to CEO Poonch, Mohd Arif Malik, he had directed ZEO Harni to submit him a report in this regard.
