RAJOURI, Feb 20: People from three different villages of Rajouri today held a protest demonstration against Jal Shakti/PHE Department accusing its Executive Engineer Mushtaq Ahmed and Assistant Executive Engineer, Ghulam Nabi of gross failure to ensure smooth water supply in their area.
They said that water supply in Mankote, Sadhyal and Mubarakhpura villages is lying suspended for the last seven months. The concerned authorities have failed to repair the pipes, that got damaged in road construction work.
” PWD damaged pipes during road work and Jal Shakti Department not even bothered to repair the pipes and more than fifteen hundred people in three villages are left in a state of helplessness,” protesters said.
Leading the protest Yogesh Sharma said that both Executive Engineer, Rajouri and Assistant Executive Engineer are well aware about plight of masses but are not even bothered to do anything to redress the problem of people of the area. .
