RAJOURI, Feb 25: The people from Gabbar, Galeer and Buthan villages lodged their strong protest with the Tehsildar Budhal and also held demonstration against PMGSY authorities.
The villagers led by Sarpanch Nazir Ahmed alleged that a PMGSY road, being constructed to their villages was abandoned about 8 years back, after some cutting work and it was not completed till today. Sarpanch alleged that villagers are not aware of the fate of this road, funds utilized and swindled by the agency officials and contractors. For the last eight years nobody tells them about the fate and the villagers have been left to suffer.
The villagers warned the authorities to start work on this road within week, failing which they would launch indefinite dharna in front of Tehsil office at Budhal. Tehsildar, however, assured villagers to hold an inquiry into the matter.
