UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: Villagers of Tandar protested against worst condition of the under construction road of PMGSY from Tandar to Satyalta in Chenani Ghordi Assembly constituency.
Work on this road from Tandar to Satyalta was started in 2007 under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), but even after 13 years, only 50 percent work has been completed so far.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PMGSY department and appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to address their grievances with regard to extremely bad condition of the road.
The protest was organized under the supervision of Sarpanch Sunita Slaria. The villagers alleged that the PMGSY department was delaying completion of this road for no reasons with the result people were suffering.
Even as the matter was brought to the notice of PMGSY Department, no action was taken, said the villagers.
