UDHAMPUR, Jan 6: The local villagers from Dalsar Khass area held protest against, PMGSY wing of R&B department for the worst condition of road from Sulgar to Dalsar Khass and were demanding its black topping.
The protesting villagers were demanding repair and black topping of the road from Sulgar to Dalsar Khass which is about in 19 km in length.
They alleged that Dalsar inhabitants are facing problems in shifting pregnant women and sick old people to Sub District Hospital Chenani and District Hospital Udhampur. They said the work on 19 Km road was started on 12-11-2018 and Rs 1418 lakhs were sanctioned. This road was to be completed within 2 years. But the work has been abandoned by the PMGSY. The general public is facing lot of hardships. Despite repeated requests to the district Administration and concerned senior PMGSY officials, the work could not be started, they added.
