MENDHAR, Aug 14: The villagers from Lanjiot and Behrote near the Line of Control in Mendhar held protest against the PDD as their electric transformer has not been replaced by the concerned field staff for the last one week.
Sources said that angry villagers today assembled in the area and held protest demonstration against PDD authorities Mendhar and Poonch, for their failure to restore power supply in the area. They said the matter was brought to the notice of concerned JE and AEE concerned but supply could not be restored even after one week. Even the damaged transformer was lying at the same place. They urged upon the SDM Mendhar and DC Poonch to intervene into the matter.
