KATHUA, Aug 21: The residents of village Jokhol under Rajbagh Police Station held protest demonstration demanding constituting a special team into death of a person of their village today.
According to the police, two days back a middle aged man namely Subash Singh (40), son of Ram Singh was missing. Today early in the morning one lady of the same village found his body in the near-by forest where she had gone to graze her cattle. She later informed the villagers and her family members.
On getting the information, Choki Officer, Jokhol, Bal Krishan took the body in his custody and later send the body to District Hospital, Kathua where post-mortem was conducted. The body was handed over the legal heirs for its last rites.
Meanwhile police has registered the case under Section 174CRPC for further action.
