UDHAMPUR, May 2: Villagers of Radhnote, Parand and Khladh held a protest against Power Development Department (PDD) for its failure in providing electricity supply to these three villages in block Pancheri.
Even after 67 years of independence, these villages, situated around 90 km from Udhampur district headquarters, are still without electricity with the result that people are forced to remain in dark after the sunset.
The protesting villagers were addressed by Panch Krishan Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Naseeb Singh, Pawan Singh, Rumal Singh, Taj Ram, Karan Singh, Him Raj, Chan Singh, Jagdeesh Singh and others.
