UDHAMPUR, Aug 1: Villagers of Latti, Siramorh, Koi, Marothi, Sarar, Bupp and adjoining areas today protested against worst condition of PMGSY road from Siramorh to Sarar.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PMGSY Department and the District authorities holding them responsible for the extremely bad condition of this 15-km road in Latti Tehsil, which is lying incomplete since years.
The protest was organized under the leadership of Naib Sarpanch Latti (B), Pawan Kumar, who appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to issue necessary instructions for repair of all the roads in this hilly area for avoiding frequent road accidents.
The villagers said that because of bad condition and big potholes on the said road, it was extremely difficult for the drivers to ply vehicles on the stretch with the result that people are deprived of transport facility.
