UDHAMPUR, Apr 17: Locals of village Kathil Danghu in Majalta Tehsil today protested against no supply of drinking water to the area.
The villagers said that PHE department has failed to supply drinking water to the area with the result locals were dependent only on the natural sources of water. As these natural sources water is mixed with grubby and mud, small kids and elderly people of the village get infected of intestinal problems, they added.
The water pipeline to this village is 40 years old and broken at many places but the department did not repair the same till date. The villagers appealed to Lt Governor to issue necessary instructions to the PHE department and provide relief to the people.
