UDHAMPUR, Oct 3: Aggrieved over extremely bad condition of Ramnagar to Ghordi road, local villagers today protested against PMGSY Department and the District administration.
Shouting slogans, the villagers were demanding immediate repair and black topping the road. The protest was held at Bus Stand Ghordi, under leadership of Hans Raj, Sarpanch Nalla Ghorian, who was accompanied by Sunil Sharma, Pawan Tripathi, Neeraj Gupta, Ganesh Prasher and others.
The protesting villagers appealed the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik to issue necessary instructions to concerned authorities for repair of the road so that people may not suffer. “Due to the worst condition and big potholes in this 21- km long road from Ramnagar to Ghordi, operators do not ply minibuses and buses on this route with the result locals and students face manifold problems,” they said and warned that if the road condition is not improved, indefinite and series of protests will be held.
