UDHAMPUR, July 31: Up in arms against dilapidated condition of Tajur road, locals of Tajur in Tahsil Majalta of Udhampur district, today held a strong protest demonstration against the PWD and district administration.
The people, irrespective of their political affiliations and supported by local Panchayat members, assembled in Majalta and held protest demonstration.
They were shouting slogans against District administration and PWD authorities . The protesting people also staged a dharna on the road and disrupted movement of traffic for about one hour.
They alleged that the district administration had left the Tajur road unattended and it was not repaired since long. They warned to block the main road of Udhampur and Majalta if repair of this road is not done immediately.
