UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: Demanding high level enquiry into the mysterious death of youth namely Avikesh, who died on September 17 during BSF recruitment rally at Battal Ballian, a large number of people from Kaisheerah and Baryal villages held a strong protest demonstration near Mina-da-Bagh, here today.
JKNPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia also joined the protesting people, who were led by Sarpanch Rampal Bhagat and Naib Sarpanch Parveen Bhagat. They also staged a dharna on Dhar road and disrupted the vehicular movement.
The protesting people were raising slogans and demanding constitution of SIT into mysterious death of Avikesh in BSF recruitment rally.
During the protest, Mr Mankotia telephonically talked to SSP Udhampur, who informed that a SIT, headed by DySP Headquarter Surinder Singh Balworia, shall investigate the case and submit its repot with in one month time,
Later, DySP Balworia also reached the spot and assured the agitating people that after a detailed inquiry, mysterious death case of Avikesh would be solved and if anybody is found involved in this mysterious death, action will be taken.
