Villagers suffer as Laddana continues to remain cut off

UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: Hundreds of  inhabitants of village Laddana and adjoining hamlets continue to remain cut off from mainland for the last three days  following blockage of Ramnagar to Laddana road due to landslide near Laddana and worst condition of the road.
The cut off area comprises around  10 thousand populace, which is suffering because of the landslide and consequent blockage of the road, which is only surface link for them to reach Ramnagar mainland.
Alleging no action by the administration to clear the blockage and improve the road condition, locals of village Laddana and adjoining areas also held a protest demonstration today and raised slogans against the  Government.
Meanwhile, locals of Basantgarh also protested  against  worst condition of  Ramnagar to Basantgarh road.
Shouting slogans against PWD, they were  demanding black topping of the road, which they alleged, has not been repaired since years  today.
