Vimarsh of SMVDU awarded prestigious fellowship

JAMMU, Mar 29: Vimarsh Padha, son of Gulshan Kumar Padha and  a student of School of Economics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, has been awarded the prestigious Dr  V  V  Bhatt Memorial Research Fellowship at Economic and Political Weekly Research Foundation (EPWRF), Mumbai, for pursuing internship.
The internship has been named after  late Dr  V  V  Bhatt, a well-known Development Economist, who had served in the Reserve Bank of India and the Industrial Development Bank of India, and also in multilateral institutions such as the Asian Institute for Development and Planning, the World Bank and the Economic Development Institute.
This Fellowship  is awarded only to one student across the nation every year. As communicated through the letter dated 21 March 2018, from Dr  J  Dennis Rajakumar, Director of EPWRF, the fellowship will be for the period of 2 months and  Vimarsh Padha will be entitled to monthly fellowship amount of Rs  15000. He will be working under the supervision of a senior staff at EPWRF, Mumbai, during the above said period.
