Violence against Hindus in B’desh triggers protests, condemnations

JAMMU, Nov 28: Angry with the ongoing attacks and arrests of Hindu leaders in Bangladesh, Shiv Sainiks and Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj from Sant Samaj here today staged a protest demonstration and torched the effigies of Bangladesh separatists.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K president, Manish Sahni and Paramadhyaksha Swami Rajeshwaranand Ji Maharaj of Shri Rajmata Jhandewalan Temple.
The protesters demanded safety of Hindus in Bangladesh.
Speaking on the occasion Manish Sahni said that Jamaat-e-Islami workers attacked Hindus who came out on streets to protest against the arrest of religious leader, Chinmay Prabhu and more than 50 people were injured in the attack.
He urged to the Union government to take strict cognizance and create international pressure to ensure safety of Hindus in Bangladesh.
Ram Vohra, Meenakshi Bakshi, Jai Bharti, Vikas Bakshi, Raj Singh, Rohin Manwal, Geeta Lakhotra, Shahsipal, Mangu Ram, Dimple, Jagbir Raj and many others were also present in the protest.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K president, Rajesh Kesri today expressed serious concern over the incidents of violence against Hindus, Buddhists and other minority communities in Bangladesh.
He demanded immediate action from the Bangladesh government to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety and security of all its citizens, regardless of their religious beliefs.
