JAMMU, May 5: Vipan Gupta has been elected as president of Mahajan Sabha, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
The election held in the premises of Institution of Engineers (India), Channi Himmat by way of Ballot Papers. The whole election process was conducted under the supervision of Retired Session Judge Justice Munish Gupta as Election Commission and Dr Amit Gupta Returning Officer.
A total of 363 votes were polled out of which Vipan Gupta secured 185 votes to win the presidential chair whereas other contender namely Ashok Gupta secured 178 votes.
