Vishav Ayurvedic Parishad executive holds meet

JAMMU, Oct 2: A meeting of State executive of Vishav Ayurvedic Parishad (VAP) was held here today under the chairmanship of Dr Govind Ram Gupta , its president of the State unit.
The meting discussed ways and means for the promotion of Auyrveda in the State which need immediate attention of those at the helm of affairs.
The members demanded improvement of the ISM dispensaries in respect of building, staff and supplies, setting up of separate directorate of ISM at the provincial level for the equitable development of all systems under AYUSH making state pharmacy and drug testing laboratory functional, the building for which have already been constructed at Jammu, upgradation of Ayurvedic hospital and posting of specialists in the departments by creating necessary specialities, regularization of unsanctioned dispensaries, creation of post of pharmacist for the dispensaries being run by the lone medical officer for last 30 years, setting up of the ISM facility, opening up of admissions in the Government Ayurvedic College Jammu and fulfillment of all the genuine demands of the medical officials.
Those who attended the meeting include Dr Sudesh Gupta, Dr Bipon Chand , Dr K D Gupta, Dr Virender, Dr Arun Jandial, Dr S A Mattu, Dr Jatinder and Dr Sujata.
