Vishwakarma Day procession cancelled due to COVID-19

JAMMU, Nov 9: Due to the Covid-19 , Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha would not take out traditional procession on the occasion of Vishwakarma Day this year and all Vishwakarma temple managements would celebrate the day at their own with pump and show.
This was informed by Shashi Verma, president of the Sabha, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“All concerned communities are appealed to celebrate the “Vishwakarma Day, which falls on November 15, by lighting lamps at rooftop of their houses making the celebration a distinguished one,” he said and advised all the members to recite Ardas while lighting the lamps.
Others, who shared their views on the occasion, included Sham Chargotra (cashier),Capt Lal Chand (Sr vice president),Charanjit Bitta (Vice president), Adv Ashwani (Joint secretary), Adv Amarjeet , Bittu, R K Chalotra (general secretary), Rakesh Kumar (president Shaktinagar and Gurmukh Singh.
