JAMMU, Apr 28: Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha is expanding its ambit all over the State and to make the Sabha broad based its president Sat Pal Verma today nominated Rakesh Kumar Verma as its acting president.
This was announced by Sat Pal Verma president of the Sabha and Dharam Pal Kataria its chairman at a joint press conference here today.
They said it was felt necessary that Sabha should have a working president to expand its functioning throughout the State.
They expressed their reservation over the functioning of coalition Government so far as the appointment of the Vice chairman of the Backward Classes Commission is concerned and demanded that he must be from civil society.
They said such a person should be vice chairman of the Commission who is well versed with the problems and sufferings of the OBC category and who can concede the problems and plead the cause of OBC categories before the Government for mitigation.
They made an appeal to Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to appoint Vice Chairman of OBC from civil society.
Rakesh Verma said that he will work to come up to the expectation of every member of the Sabha and the community and strengthen the organization. He also appealed the biradri members to get themselves enrolled as members as the same was in the larger interests of the community.
Darshan Singh, vice president of the Sabha, Shashi Verma, cashier, Om Parkash another vice president and Hari Chand advisor were present in the press conference.
