Vishwakarma Scheme to empower artisans, craftsmen: Yudhvir

JAMMU, Dec 22: J&K BJP vice president, Yudhvir Sethi today said that PM Vishwakarma Scheme holds immense significance by empowering India’s traditional artisans and craftspeople with a holistic package of recognition, skill training, financial support, and market access.
It aims to revitalize old-age crafts, boost incomes, and preserve cultural heritage, ultimately building a self-reliant community of artisan entrepreneurs Yudhvir Sethi said while addressing two separate programmes at Wards No 7 and 11 of Jammu East constituency.
On the occasion, Praveen Kerni, Harvinder Singh, Jagjivan Lal, Sanjay Mahey, Neeru Anand, Sudhir Anand, Ranju Sharma, Amit Gupta, Ajesh Gupta, Trilochan Dutt, Nisha Bhatia, Kamal Jain, Shiv Kumar, Sharma and others were present.
Addressing the gathering of party activists and members artisan community, Yudhvir underscored the scheme’s potential to unlock a golden age for traditional crafts and uplift the lives of millions of skilled artisans.
“The PM Vishwakarma Scheme is not just an initiative. It’s a clarion call to rediscover the magic of our indigenous arts. From carpenters to potters, weavers to goldsmiths, this scheme empowers our Vishwakarmas with recognition, skill upgradation, financial support, and market access. It’s time to ensure every beneficiary in State/Region unlocks the doors to prosperity and contributes to a vibrant Atmanirbhar Bharat,” he said.
Yudhvir urged party workers to become torchbearers, guiding artisans through the registration process and disseminating crucial information about the scheme’s benefits.
“Our artisans are not just craftspeople. They are custodians of our cultural heritage. With the PM Vishwakarma Scheme as our compass, we can revitalize age-old traditions, strengthen local economies, and build a thriving ecosystem of artisan entrepreneurs. Let us join hands and empower the hands that weave the tapestry of our nation,” he added.
