Vision Kashmir delegation submits memo to Relief Commissioner

JAMMU, Aug 31: A delegation of Vision Kashmir comprising of over-aged relief holders met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants) and submitted a memorandum regarding their various issues.
The delegation was led by Sunil Fotedar. The delegation informed Commissioner that even living an exiled life for over three decades, the most of the over-aged relief holders have crossed their age-limit and have continue to struggle to deal with their basic amenities for their survival.
Fotedar said that over-aged relief holders are facing lot of humiliation by the authorities.
He demanded enhancement in cash assistance to atleast Rs 5,000 per person in order to meet the expenses of medicines and other necessities.
Commissioner assured the delegation that the steps are being taken by the Government to look into the issues confronting of the displaced community.
Among others present were Ramesh Pandita, Sanjay Raina, Vinod Koul, Anil Mattoo, Raja Ji Kakroo, Bharat Pandita, Ashok Bhat, Ashok Koul, etc.
