DDC polls nationalists versus separatists sympathizers’: Chug

JAMMU/ KATHUA, Nov 26: BJP national leaders today accused the Kashmir centric parties of distancing J&K from rest of the country under the garb of Article 370 which has been main cause for non implementation of many Central laws meant for welfare of the people in J&K State.

These allegations were made by senior BJP leader and Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur, party national general secretary, Tarun Chug and Union MoS Finance and election incharge J&K ,Anurag Thakur while addressing various election meetings in Kathua and Jammu district today.
Jai Ram Thakur while taking a dig at anti national forces in J&K said vital laws were not implemented in J&K due to Article 370. While addressing election rallies in favour of BJP DDC candidates from Basholi Col.(retd.) Mahan Singh and Mahanpur Tajinder Singh Goldy, he asked the people to be vigilant against the anti-national forces who are hell bent to damage the interests of the nation. He said that the divisive forces in the form of pseudo-political face of separatists have openly looted the resources of the nation and are not happy to see the J&K on the track of development.
Thakur also attacked the Gupkar Gang on Article 370 and said that it prevented vital laws from their timely implementation in J&K. He said that if earlier implemented these laws could have transformed the lives of many communities living in erstwhile J&K State. He said that he remembered the days when he was here in Jammu & Kashmir for many years it was always painful to witness two flags on the top of Civil Secretariat and the National Flag “Tiranga” was not getting due respect here.
Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh was also accompanied by former Rajya Sabha MP, Kirpal Parmar, Rakesh Pathania Cabinet Minister Himachal Pradesh, Sanjay Baru election incharge, Pahadi Zila, Gopal Mahajan, Prabhari while he addressed a huge crowded rally at Mahanpur and Basohli in connection with DDC elections.
Addressing the rallies in various parts of Kathua district party national general secretary, Tarun Chug said the DDC polls are a fight between the nationalist ideology of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra and separatist thinking of Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah.
Chug said that while Pt. Prem Nath Dogra always stood for national Integration and an inclusive approach and took all sections of the society along whereas former president of National Conference and ex Chief Minister J&K, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah always propagated a separatist agenda.
He said that Sheikh Abdullah played card of regionalism and religion to create division among the people, adding that he never bothered to give equal rights to Gujjars, women and weaker sections of the society and also never extended the benefits of Panchayati Raj in J&K due to which the democracy at grass root level failed to prosper here till now.
Chug said that the party under the capable stewardship of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has pledged to outspread the inclusive approach of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra in every nook and corner of J&K.
He said that by abrogating Articles 370 and 35A Prime Minister has offered a befitting tribute to Pt. Prem Nath Dogra’s nationalistic Ideology, adding that with the repealing of these draconian articles Modi has set into motion a new beginning for the people of J&K.
Tarun Chug said that the people of J&K has rejected the ideology of separatism and will uproot it completely to move ahead with the nationalistic approach.
He lambasted the PDP and NC for looting J&K’s wealth through scams like Roshni and hand in glove with those who are trying to destabilize and disintegrate India.
Lashing out at Congress for its role in J&K especially in the forthcoming DDC polls, the BJP leader said that it is acting like a B-team of NC and PDP as deep down the party knows that it is a non-entity in J&K.
Chug and other senior leaders of party expressed heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of two brave soldiers and said that their sacrifices will never go in vain.
Chug was also associated by BJP vice-president, Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister, Rajeev Jasrotia and other senior leaders while filing of nomination papers by Raghunandan Singh Bablu (BJP district president) from Kathua Constituency.
Addressing election rallies at Chakroi, R. S. Pura, and Miran Sahib in Jammu district Union MoS Anurag Thakur questioned regional parties for their desperate attempts to mislead the masses and said that the people of Jammu & Kashmir are happy with the abrogation of Article 370 and that the removal of controversial law has opened the gateway for development in Jammu & Kashmir.
While referring to 26/11 Mumbai attack he said the cowardice terrorist attacks cannot derail the peace and development in J&K.
Anurag Thakur while addressing the rallies paid his tributes to the braves who lost their lives on the 26/11 attack in Mumbai. He said, “despite being the advocate of peace and Universal brotherhood, India has always remained a victim of State sponsored terrorism. India will continue to decisively deal with terrorists and those who support terror. India’s armed forces are capable and always ready to defend our integral unity.”
Later, Anurag Thakur expressed condolences to the two brave soldiers who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Kashmir. He said that these attacks cannot disrupt the peace and development process in J&K. He said that the whole nation stands with the families of the martyred soldiers and that their sacrifices will be avenged by our security forces in no time.
He said that the provocative statements given by Gupkar Gang members and separatists provide encouragement to the subversive activities and batted for strict actions against any anti-national or anti-social statement made by any one.
