Swami Vivekananda’s teachings being universal in nature have great scope for meeting some moral and spiritual problems throughout the world. The celebration of his 150th birth anniversary throughout the world bears testimony to the fact that his teachings are accepted throughout the world.
His concern for the poor and the needy is a reflection of his sainthood. He believed in universal brotherhood. It is this very brotherhood that is under strain these days and needs to be freed from forces that are hell bent on destroying social fabric of the society.
The Governments throughout the world should take note of the abject poverty of a section of populace that still lives an inhuman life.
Today, world spends a huge amount on manufacture of weapons of mass destruction but does not take into account the problems faced by poor people. Swamiji’s teachings in this direction can be a guiding light.
