JAMMU, Jan 29: The Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj (VKS), a prominent socio-cultural organization, has organized a sacred yatra from Jammu to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, for the ongoing Mahakumbh.
The yatra was flagged off from the Jagti township in Jammu by renowned singer Kailash Mehra Sadhu, with five buses carrying 185 pilgrims.
A statement said that the pilgrims will visit several holy sites en route, including Ayodhya and Kashi Vishwanath, before reaching Prayagraj for the grand event.
It said the VKS has made extensive arrangements for the pilgrims, including lodging, meals, and spiritual visits, reflecting their commitment to promoting Sanatan Dharma and ensuring a smooth and meaningful journey for the devotees.
Convenor of VKS, Kiran Watal, expressed gratitude to Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha and the local administration for their support in facilitating the pilgrimage.
Watal also thanked the volunteers for their tireless efforts in making the journey a success.
