VNKM organizes multilingual Mushaira at Trikuta Nagar

JAMMU, Feb 18: Vrisht Nagrik Kavya Manch, JK UT organized a multilingual Mushaira at the residence of R S Baroka, in Trikuta Nagar area here today.
The poets of different languages presented their poetry in different languages. Jang S. Verman, a senior artist, journalist and writer was the chief guest wheareas, R S Baroka was the special guest on this occasion. Harjit Singh Uppal, a poet and president, Punjabi Sahitak Sabha, R S Pura presided over the programme.
Amarjeet Kour, president VNKM-JK extended a formal welcome to the guests and participants of the programme. In her welcome address, she gave a brief of the monthly activities of the Manch.
While expressing his views on the presentation and conduct of the one programme, Harjit Singh Uppal said that the poetry needs many aspects to be observed to shape it. He appreciated the quality poetry recited by the poets of different languages.
Jang S. Verman in his address said that the efforts made by the Manch are appreciable as such activities promote communal harmony by sharing different languages on one platform. He congratulated the poets for presenting highly appreciable and quality poetry in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu languages. R S Baroka also expressed his views on this occasion.
The poets who recited their poetry in the programme included JPS Azad, Ratan Singh Kanwal, Devinder Singh Dhanjal, M S Kaamra, T S Premee, Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Amarjeet Kour Neer, Sudesh Kumar Jangral, Suraj Ratan Bakshi, Bachan Bharti, Jang S. Verman, Jagjeet Singh Sudan and Harjit Singh Uppal. These poets presented poems of different genres on different topics and themes.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by T S Premee, secretary, Manoranjan Kala Kendra. He also extended the vote of thanks.
