NEW DELHI: Telecom operators Bharti Airtel and Vodafone have relaxed bill payment dates by three days for postpaid accounts following rush at banks due to demonitisation scheme announced by the government.
“We are extending bill payment due date for postpaid customers by up to 3 days and will provide talk time loan to prepaid customers to ensure there is continuity of services and they are not inconvenienced,” Airtel said in a statement.
Vodafone too extended bill payment date for postpaid customers and credit facility for prepaid customers in Delhi NCR only.
“To help our customers tide over the demonetisation period, Vodafone has extended postpaid bill payment deadline by 3 days. Prepaid Vodafone customers can opt for small credits on both talk time and data, allowing them to stay confidently connected,” Apoorva Mehrotra, Business Head – Delhi & NCR, Vodafone India, said in a statement.
Additionally, for the benefit of prepaid customers running out of balance, Vodafone is providing small credits on both talktime and data.
Vodafone prepaid customers can get credit of Rs 10 valid for 7 days by sending an SMS to a special number. The credit will be provided a service charge of Rs 3 per transaction and will be adjusted in next recharge. It is also providing 30 MB data credit for Rs 10 with a validity of 24 hours. (AGENCIES)
