Volunteers donate blood to injured yatris

Srinagar, July 24: Six Muslim volunteers today donated blood to the two injured yatris at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
The two injured yatris identified as Ravi Kant of Jammu and Preeti Shah of Mumbai were seriously injured in mishaps.
As they were in need of blood, six volunteers donated blood for them. “When we came to know that there are some patients admitted in SKIMS and needed blood, we donated blood for them to save their lives,” said Mohammad Afzal, a volunteer.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah said that Government will provide free medicare and other assistance to these yatris who are admitted in SKIMS.
