Vote BJP to power to end ‘’discrimination’’ with Jammu: PM

JAMMU : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appealed to electorate to vote the BJP to power and end the decades long “discrimination” of the Jammu region by Kashmir-centric political parties.

Blaming the Congress, National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party, the Prime Minister said these parties have ruined the future of people of Jammu by ding nothing for development.

“Reply in the same manner to those who say that BJP will not get a single seat in the Valley,” Mr Modi said while addressing a jam-packed Maulana Azad Stadium here.

The Prime Minister was campaigning on the last leg for assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.   He referred to the statements of Congress, PDP and the NC leaders that BJP will not get a single seat in the Valley in view of the heavy voter turnout during the first four phases of elections. “Reply to them in the similar manner. Make sure that none of them is able to open account in 20 constituencies of Jammu which are going to polls on December 20,” he said.

Was this the kind of language to be used in a democracy? he asked. “These people (NC, PDP, Congress) understand the same language.”

“Make sure that their accounts are vacant village after village,” he added.

Terming Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir as an “intruder”, he criticised them for what he termed as betraying people of Jammu and using their shoulder to fire the gun.

“Congress always used the shoulders of people of Jammu to settle their own scores,” Mr Modi said and hit out at the Congress for being opportunist and joining hands with both NC and PDP in the lust of power. He appealed to voters to “punish” these political parties for the wrongs they had committed and make them realise their mistakes. (AGENCIES)
