Vote PDP for development: Ved Mahajan

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 7: Senior PDP leader and former MLC Ved Mahajan today addressed meetings in Mathwar area of Nagrota in favour of party candidate from Nagrota Choudhary Hussain Ali Waffa and appealed voters to vote for the development of the constituency which remained neglected under the long tenure of BJP candidate.
Taking a jibe at the ruling coalition Government, Mahajan said that nothing exemplary has been done in the six year long tenure of the Government except leveling allegations against each other following their failure on all the fronts.
Some institutions aimed at maintaining transparency in the Government departments established during the tenure of former Chief Minister and PDP Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed were bulldozed by the coalition partners solely for settling their personal interests. Corruption, nepotism and looting increased manifolds in all the Government departments in short of a check mechanism but Omar and his coalition partners trumpeted the ‘so called’ development.
“Safety of people is another area where the Coalition Government was seen creeping whether it was about the situations along the borders or internal safety, he alleged.
Over 60% population of educated youth is running from pillar to post for employment options but they were forced to work on minimum wages despite taking their educational background into the consideration owing to which they are leaving in numbers to other States in search of better jobs”, said Mahajan.
Mahajan appealed the voters to shun the ideology of communal forces and vote in large in favour of PDP for witnessing over all development in the constituency.
Neeraj Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma, Kishore Kumar, Durga Dass, Madan Lal and others also addressed the gathering.
