Vote for prestige, dignity, self respect: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Nov 1: As a part of election campaign, a meeting was organized by National Conference (NC) workers of Ghou Manhasan in tehsil Marh which was attended by large number of people.
Minister for Planning and Development, Labour and Employment, Ajay K Sadhotra, while addressing the audience said that in the year 1996, a new era of development ushered in Marh Constituency which was undeveloped at that time.
“I took it as a challenge for him and for that purpose, I got a number of bridges, culverts and roads constructed, thus connecting the different villages of the area with each other which is the prime necessity for the development of the area”, he added.
Besides this, electrification of number of villages was done by getting a number of electric poles and transformers installed and upgraded. Adequate water supply was also made available to the people of the area by laying pipes, installing hand pumps and number of tube wells constructed and got functional to augment the need of drinking water in the area, he started.
Minister further stated that old age, widows and handicapped persons were given pensionery benefits and other financial assistance under different schemes and homeless persons also provided financial assistance under IAY schemes so that they could have their own houses.
He appealed to the people to use their vote keeping in view the development of area and benefit of common man and also requested them to cast their valuable votes in his favour for prestige, dignity and self respect.
Among others who spoke included Mohan Khajuria, Kasturi Lal Sharma, block secretary, Subash Sharma, Sarpanch, Keemat Lal Sarpanch, Dharam Pal Sharma Sarpanch, Ashok Bawa Ex-Chairman Gho Manasa Municipality, Mohan Khajuria, Madan Singh, Karan Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Dina Nath, Nagar Singh, Baba Jaimbal, Hardeep Singh and Prem Saini.
