Vote share of BJP declined in LS elections: Gupta

JAMMU, June 7: Provincial NC Jammu president, Rattan Lal Gupta today said that there was a drastic decline in BJP’s vote share from 46.2 per cent to 24.36 per cent in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections in J&K signalling to a major shift in region’s political landscape.
In a handout Gupta emphasized that this sharp decline is clear indicator of public dissatisfaction with BJP’s governance.
He said that people have once again reposed faith on NC leadership.
“NC cadre and leadership remained proactive in LS elections which ensured NC’s decisive victory in Anantnag-Rajouri and Srinagar LS seats,” the NC leader maintained outlining party’s key priorities as job creation, healthcare, education, infrastructure development for industries and MSP to farmers.
He said that focus of NC is on holistic development that touches every aspect of life in J&K.
“With people’s overwhelming support, NC will lead the way to a brighter and more prosperous future for the region and new generation. Let us work together by rejecting BJP’s divisive agenda and adopting NC’s pragmatic approach to make the region ideal place for one and all,” he continued.
