Vote to INDIA Bloc is for saving Nation, Constitution: Sadhotra

JAMMU, April 11: National Conference (NC) additional general secretary and former minister Ajay Sadhotra today exhorted the people to shoulder their responsibilities in preserving the idea of India by rejecting the divisive forces that are hell bent to weaken the world’s largest democracy.
Addressing a public meeting at Halqa Tokdian in Marh area, Sadhotra sought overwhelming support of the people for INDIA Bloc candidates in the upcoming Parliamentary elections, saying that their vote is crucial for saving the Nation and protecting Baba Saheb’s Constitution.
He said the need for preserving the Constitution has arisen more in the light of the BJP’s clandestine attempts of fiddling with it. It is imperative to underscore its pivotal role in shaping the democratic fabric of our nation, he said, adding, the democratic and secular forces should unite to foil the machinations of the BJP to trample with our constitution, he added.
Sadhotra invoked the democratic responsibilities of the voters as custodians of this valuable document to safeguard its principles and uphold its spirit in all spheres of governance and societal discourse. In the face of challenges, be it social or political, he said the Constitution has provided a soothing umbrella to all, irrespective of region, religion, caste and ethnicity.
The former minister urged the voters to come in a big way on the D-day of elections and ensure huge mandate to the INDIA candidates Raman Bhalla and Lal Singh.
