JAMMU : Voting for the 4th phase of J&K Assembly Elections 2014 has commenced in the 18 constituencies today including 18-Hazratbal, 19-Zadibal, 20-Eidgah, 21-Khanyar, 22-Haba Kadal, 23-Amira Kadal, 24-Sonwar, 25-Batamaloo, 40-Anantnag, 42-Dooru, 43-Kokernag, 44-Shangus, 45-Bijbehara, 46-Pahalgam, 35-Wachi 36-Shopian, 68 Samba (SC) and 69Vijaypur spread across four districts of Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian and Samba.
Despite severe cold, people were seen marching towards the polling booths and long queues of electorate were seen outside the polling booths to exercise their franchise.
SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 14: In Sonawar constituency of Srinagar district, at polling station 79-Haripora 78 votes, at 78-Haripora 62 votes, at 76-Haripora 23 votes, at 75-Harwan-C 48 votes, at 74-Harwan 48 votes, at 73-Harwan 54 votes, at Shalimar-A 69 votes have been polled so far. In Eidgah Constituency, at Baghwanpora-A 67 votes, at Baghwanpora-C, 57 votes, at Baghwanpora-B, 80 votes have been polled so far while as in Khanyar Constituency at polling station Koolipora-B 24 votes, at Badaubag 40 votes, at Brari Nambal 50 votes, at Riyazatteng 17 votes and at Daulatabad 25 votes have been polled so far.
In Shangus constituency of Anantnag district, at Achabal Sahibabag Booth no 39, 68 votes, at booth no 42, 67 votes, at booth no 40, 72 votes, at booth no 41, 47 votes and in Dooru Constituency at Larkipora booth no 68-C, 54 votes, at booth no 69, 46 votes have been polled so far.
