JAMMU, Feb 24: All J&K SRTC Volunteers Retired Employees Association (VREA) held a protest demonstration against the Government and higher authorities of Transport Department.
The protestors led by Dev Raj Bali, president, VREA raised slogans against the Government for not redressing their long pending demands.
While speaking, Dev Raj Bali said that the Government and higher authorities of Transport Department are bent upon to harass the VRS/GHS employees of J&K SRTC.
He demanded 126 slabs of COLA with pending arrears and since 1999 and also demanded arrears of 6th Pay Commission due from January 1, 2006.
Among others present were Kulbir Singh, JD Singh, BV Sharma, Prem Nath, DN Sharma, Ehsan Elahi, Surjit Singh, Surinder Singh, Sain Mohammad, etc.
