VRS given JKRTC employees stage protest at MD office

JAMMU, Aug 3: The VRS given and retired employees of Jammu and Kashmir Transport Corporation (JKRTC) today held protest demonstration outside the office of Managing Director, JKRTC at Rail Head here today.
Led by Dev Raj Bali, the VRS/GST and normally retired employees of the Transport Corporation today assembled at the office of Managing Director, at Rail Head complex Jammu and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans in support of their demands and also against the management of the Corporation.
The protesting employees raised slogans against the ill behaviour of MD and FA&CAO of the JKRTC Jammu towards the VRS/GHS and retired employees for not clearing pending salary bills, gratuity and COLA arrears and 6th Pay Commission and DA arrears.
They further alleged that many bills are being sent back by the secretariat/ Administrative department by raising objections and this all is being done intentionally by JKRTC. The Union is unable to understand and reason behind the ill-behavious of the management against the retired/ VRS employees.
They said about 14 months and 17 datys have passed but till date the bills are not being prepared in all respects. They invited the attention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha towards this issue.
