The VRS accorded SRTC workers under the leadership of Dev Raj Bali, president All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association, in a meeting held today condemned the attitude of Managing Director of the Corporation. The trade unionists including Bali, Balwinder Singh, D N Sharma, Prem Nath, Surjit Singh, Mohd Sharief, Ehsan Elahi and Javed Iqbal criticized the management of the Corporation for causing discrimination. They pointed out that 670 VRS given employees of the Corporation are suffering for the last nearly three years.
These workers are demanding 126 slabs of cost of living allowances (COLA) with effect from January 1, 2006 and pending arrears of COLA since 1999 besides benefits of 6th Pay Commission from January Ist, 2006.
