JAMMU, May 26: Volunteer Retirement Scheme (VRS) Union of J&K RTC, Jammu in its meeting strongly criticised the attitude of the Finance Department and Authorities of Transport Department towards VRS.
“These two departments are hell-bent upon to harass us without any logic as our issues are crystal clear,” aid Dev Raj Bali, President of the Union.
The demands projected by the Union included the release of the Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) from 1999, 6TH Pay Commission Arrears with effect from 2006 and implementation of Corporations’s benefits.
Mr Bali said, in the previous budget of the UT Govt, Rs 100 crore, their dues just to the tune of 16, 76,000 were to be cleared, but the story was totally different.
He warned that the Union will be compelled to protest if their issues were not redressed at an earliest.
The meeting among others was attended by Surinder Singh and Balwinder Singh.
