JAMMU, Oct 16: Senior National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani has been appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

An order in this regard was issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), hours after Omar Abdullah took oath as Chief Minister of J&K Union Territory.
The terms and conditions of the appointment shall be notified separately, read the order.
Pertinent to mention that Nasir Aslam Wani had lost the Assembly election 2024 from Kupwara constituency to PDP candidate Fayaz Mir. In 2014 Assembly election, he was elected from Lal Chowk constituency.
