Wani, Vikar lay foundation of road projects

SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Minister for PWD & R&B, Abdul Majid Wani today laid foundation stone of two road projects and two steel bridges besides inaugurating foot Bridge at Banihal.
Minister of State for Technical Education, Power& CAPD Vikar Rasool Wani was also present on the occasion.
The Ministers also inaugurated 18 M span steel foot bridge at Darpora Banihal constructed at a Rs. 34.30 lakh besides laying the foundation stones for the construction of approach road to Degree College Banihal which is coming up at a estimated cost of Rs. 2.5 crore and road project connecting Chambalwas to Gagna at a cost of Rs. one crore.
Mr. Wani also laid the foundation stones for the construction of 18M span steel bridge suspension over Bishlari Nallah at Ramsoo of an estimated cost of Rs. 2.76 crore and construction of road project from Ukhral to Bangara of a cost of Rs. 10 .78 crore.
Mr. Wani while referring to the various initiatives undertaken by the Government for holistic development of the state, said that various welfare schemes like MGNREGA, SKEWPY, IAY, NRHM, have been accelerated during the regime of present Government, adding that these schemes have been instrumental in changing the socio economic profile of rural areas besides providing the job opportunities and asset creation.
Mr. Vikar Rasool said that Banihal constituency witnessed an era of development during the regime of UPA Government in which various schools buildings ,Colleges, ITI building , Bridges, road projects etc were established in the State.
