Wani visits Purkhoo Camp, takes stock of people’s problems

JAMMU, Apr 27 : Emphasizing on the dire need to assess and mitigate the problems of Kashmiri Pandit Migrants, Minister for Roads and Buildings, Abdul Majid Wani asserted that redressal of the grievance of the displaced community is receiving focused attention of the present regime.
Taking stock of the problems and demands of Kashmiri Pandit Migrants during his visit to migrant camp at Purkhoo today, the Minister divulged that Government is aware of their sufferings and all possible efforts are being made to ease them.
On the occasion, inhabitants of Purkhoo Camp apprised the Minister of their problems and other grievances which mainly included dilapidated condition of road from Gumpul to Migrant Camp Purkhoo-Domana and other lanes and drains. They demanded recruitment in police and other departments.
Responding to their demands, Mr. Wani directed for handing over road work to R&B and PMGSY sector which is presently being maintained by relief organization. He also assured to discuss recruitment issue with the concerned higher authorities.
Expressing sympathy with Doda migrants, Mr. Wani asserted that Government is aware of their problems which would be sorted out on priority basis. He also assured to concede their other demands in a phased manner.
