Wani visits Shiva, Lalbani; takes stock of road construction work

DODA, Aug 17: Minister for PWD (R&B) and Mechanical Engineering Abdul Majid Wani today visited the rural areas of Shiva, Suhanda and Lalbani and took stock of various road construction works undergoing in the area.
He also met with the members of Lalbani Temple Management Committee and assured them that the road connecting temple, where annual Janamashtami fair is organized by the committee and people from different regions of the district and State participate in the fair, will be blacktopped so that the people coming to pay obeisance to the deity may not face any inconvenience due to poor road condition.
Minister also directed PHE Department to renovate the pond which is situated in the premises of the temple, besides he announced that a park would be constructed in the premises which would attract more tourists in the area and will boost the economy of the people.
Responding to the demands of the people to construct second phase of Sharerna – Masronda road , Mr. Wani informed that the tendering process has been completed and the remaining 2.5 Km stretch will be constructed soon, besides he also informed that the blacktopping will be taken at war footing.
Earlier on its way to Lalbani, Mr Wani met with deputations of people and redressed their grievances on the spot.
Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Doda Madan Lal, Executive Engineer PHE Division Doda and Chief Education Officer Doda besides other senior officer accompanied the Minister.
