MUMBAI, Aug 9:
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says his biggest dream is to make a film that everyone would be proud of.
“My maddest dream is to make the most beautiful film before I die, which everyone across the world should watch and be proud of,” Shah Rukh told reporters here at an event last night.
The 48-year-old actor, also known to be a doting father of his three children, says he nurture small dreams and wants his children to be healthy and happy.
The actor was at an promotional event upcoming film ‘Mad About Dance’, which he is supporting.
Yesterday was the 17th anniversary of SRK’s hit 1997 film ‘Pardes’ and first anniversary of blockbuster ‘Chennai Express’.
On this SRK said, “I just read about it. I think if you try to achieve greatness then it will never happen. I treat my every film as the first and last film.”
Shah Rukh, who will be next seen in Farah Khan’s star-studded ‘Happy New Year’ said he finds dancing difficult and can’t dance like experts.
“I don’t know dance. Even my upcoming film (Happy New Year) is about dancing.. I find difficulty doing such (dance) films. I think dancing is about expressing freedom and love and dance the way you know,” he said.
Actor-director Saahil Prem’s dance extravaganza ‘Mad About Dance’ is being backed by SRK.
“I don’t think anyone can promote anyone… Work speaks. When I was new, there were talented directors like Rakesh Roshan, Yash Chopra, Abbas Mustan and Aziz Mirza, they promoted me.. If I can use that word,” Shah Rukh said.
‘Mad About Dance’ starring Saahil Prem, Amrit Maghera, is scheduled to release on August 22.
“Tonight it is about ‘Mad’. I hope people like it and it does well. There are very few dancing films being made in India like we had ‘ABCD’ and few others but this genre films are not there much,” Shah Rukh said.
On big stars supporting small projects, he said, “I don’t think it is true that a superstar’s support for a small film helps get attention. The film will speak for itself, like ‘Mad’ will speak for itself.”
Shah Rukh in his 1997 superhit ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ had impressed with his dance moves with co-actors Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor.
When asked about who he would like to cast in the sequel of ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, he says, “I don’t think there is anyone like them. And I don’t think a sequel should be made to this film.” (PTI)
