POONCH, Apr 6: The police arrested a wanted accused in attempt to murder case in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that on the directions of SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral and under the supervision of SDPO, Mendhar, Neeraj Padyar, the police team led by SHO Mendhar, Sajjad Mir arrested one absconder, namely Mohd Arshed, son of Mohd Tufail, resident of Banola against whom arrest warrants under Section 512 CrPC were issued since December 22, 2001 by local court. He was wanted by Mendhar police in case FIR No. 158/ 2000, under sections 307/ 452/ 325/ 323/324/ 148/149 RPC.
