POONCH, Apr 30: A wanted criminal has been arrested by police from Mendhar area of district Poonch after the lapse of seven years.
Official sources said that a Mendhar police party assisted by District Special Branch (DSB) arrested one Mohd Shafiq, son of Fazal Hussain, resident of Narol village who was involved in a case FIR No. 176/2014 under section 279 /337/RPC and was evading his arrest for the last over seven years. A warrant under section 512 CrPC was issued against him by JMIC Mendhar, the official said.
