JAMMU, Aug 11: Police in Jammu’s Kanachak area claimed today they have arrested notorious criminal Lyiqat Ali alias Bulla.
A police official said that 33-year-old Bulla of RS Pura Jammu at present Belicharana, Jammu, was wanted in case FIR Number 47/2023 under Sections 307, 353, 323, 336, 147, 148, 188, and 382 of the IPC registered at Police Station Kanachak.
He said the accused was known for his involvement in severe criminal activities, including an attack on a party in Kanachak, making him a notorious figure in the area.
He was also wanted for his involvement in various cases of bovine smuggling, and other nature of crimes registered at various police stations, establishing his reputation as a dreadful criminal, said the police official.
“The arrest of Lyiqat Ali underscores the commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens,” he said.
The accused is currently in custody and further investigation into the case is underway, added the police official.
