Waqf land reclaimed in Bishnah

JAMMU, Mar 8: In a significant move against illegal encroachment on Waqf land, the J&K Waqf Board Jammu today conducted a major anti-encroachment drive in Village Karil Manhasa of Tehsil Bishnah.
Under the direction of Chairperson J&K Waqf Board (MoS) Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, officials from the Waqf Board and Revenue Department, supervised by Administrator Waqf Board, Jammu, Abid Hussain, and Tehsildar Bishnah, Ankush Tripathi, led the operation to reclaim the Waqf land.
After a thorough anti-encroachment drive, the land was successfully restored to the Waqf Board.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, since assuming office, has undertaken numerous initiatives to streamline the operations of the Waqf Department and recover illegally encroached properties.
Meanwhile, authorities have initiated measures to prevent re-encroachment, warning of stringent action against any attempts to retake the land.
