KATHUA, May 8: Residents of Ward Number 16, Kalibari have expressed serious concern over keeping of dead bodies of COVID patients in a house in the locality by a private hospital in the area where these patients are admitted for treatment.
The local residents today protested against the role of the hospital authorities saying that with their action entire locality in Ward No 16 Kathua has been put to a grave risk.
The protestors said private hospital has converted a house behind the Hospital as illegal mortuary. The PPE kits, gloves and other materials are thrown in the open street, said the locals. The local people said that today again three dead bodies were kept in the society house. They claimed to call the police and administration. But no one bothered to take any action against the private hospital. The people have appealed the district administration to stop illegal practice and keep the COVID dead bodies in the hospital mortuary to save the precious lives of poor people living near the private hospital.
